Big Success.  Written and recorded May 2006.

Privilege Seat.  Written and recorded January 2006.

Rebuild This House.  Written and recorded January 2006.

Can't Be True.  Written December 2005, recorded January 2006.

Hurricane Gale.  Written November 2005, recorded December 2005.  This was written for the band, Lotus Vale, of which I was a member at the time.  It is based loosely on the same general idea as 'Go Home.'

Fired Up. Written November 2004, Recorded July 2005. Nothing going on here except a chord progression I enjoyed playing. I feel like my production is getting better and it shows a bit here too. We'll see how that opinion holds up to the test of time, eh?

Pink Skirt. July 2005. Another quickie for song fight. A lot of fun, and the first song to show off my fancy-dancy $50 bass guitar!

Jalopy. June 2005. Written very quickly and not really finished correctly for Song Fight.

Go Home. June 2005. This song started out with me fooling around on the old acoustic and an open A chord. It was a fun process for me, bringing everything out of the main riff idea which must be something every guitarist stumbles over at one time or another.

Born Slaves. June 2005. This is a song that I never really finished. I had a lot of great ideas for this that I simply never managed to execute properly. I'll take some lessons, learn a bit, practice a lot, and try again later.

40 Hours. May 2005. Just a little thing I was fooling around with - quick and easy. I had fun with some terrible falsetto backing vox which is something I'd never tried - and may never try again.

Black Top Highway. Written March 2001, recorded May 2005. This was a song I wrote and always came back to. I'm not sure this latest iteration was the right way to go or not, but I enjoyed remaking an old favorite nonetheless.

Girl. April 2005. A basic, blues-inspired bit of fuzzy guitar fun. Starting to try 'singing' more . . . we'll see how that works out for me! Either way, this is turning out to be a productive month for me.

Ellis Island. April 2005. Written for Song Fight . . . this song did not do too well. It's the classic Astrolamb case - I believe the idea is solid, but my execution is not.

Die For Me. April 2005. Another song for Song Fight which did not fare as well as I would have hoped. I was actually really happy with the way this turned out - especially some of the guitar sounds I pulled out of my little Squier.

New Sex. January 2005. Inspired by a Song Fight contest which I never got around to entering. This involves some hitherto uncharted territory for me, and I'm not terribly dissappointed in the result.

Spinning. Written October 2002, Recorded December 2004. Piano? Another old favorite of mine. Eventually I will be as good as the song, for now this is what you get.

Almost Burned The House Down. November 2004. I was really happy with this tune, but the Song Fight community disagreed - as they usually do.

Different Views. November 2004. I can't remember why I wrote this song, but I wrote it. Very different from your typical Astrolamb stuff, but not much different than alot of songs I have written down waiting for some attention.

Moon Shine. October 2004. Song Fight again, and also the song that earned me the biggest compliment ever saying that the lyrics reminded them of Leonard Cohen. Off-base or not, I'll take it since Cohen is a hero.

Start Over. October 2004. Song Fight. Poorly recieved, this was a big step for me as far as riff writing.

Motor Psycho. October 2004. Song Fight.

Scooters. June 2004. If you don't like this song you're stupid.

Big Disco. September 2004. Song Fight.

Good Mommy. Written October 2002, recorded June 2004.

Do You Dream. Written February 2003, recorded June 2004. In case you weren't sure that I was pretentious prick.

JoJo Head. Written Written May 2004, recorded October 2004. Probably my favorite of the riffs I've written. Simple, but fun to play and it sounds good (to me, anyhow). The original version of this was written and recorded while severely drunk so I eventually got back around to it and here is the result.

Do What You Do. June 2004. Written for a movie I wanted to make, but only started. Fun to do, programmed with Leaf Drums and recorded through a distorted Sony karaoke mic.

Going Down. May 2004.

JoJo Head. May 2004. The original. I don't much remember writing or recording this, I drank about 3/4 of a bottle of Jack Daniels and woke up the next day to this.

City Of Lies. April 2004. What I would call my first 'successful' attempt at multitracking. A fun poppy rock thing, and #1 on my list of things to redo once I've got a decent setup worked out.

Not The Truth. April 2004. Trying to learn how to write and record songs.

Texas Rose. April 2004. Not quite the guitar-picker that this song calls for, but I like this song and will get it right one day.

Figure Me Out. April 2004. This April was a big month for me. I had a friend from Leeds visit in March and he showed me some of his music - which was great. Because of that I was inspired to try my hand at the same thing . . . this was the birth of Astrolamb.

There are actually tons more of these things - if you're REALLY interested, e-mail me at ronagra@msn.com. Thanks.
